What a great day for a swim meet! Sunday, March 4th a group of CIM swimmers ventured down to Pasadena to compete in a swimming pentathlon. The format here was, each swimmer participates in 5 events, 50 fly/back/breast/free and a 100 IM. The fastest cumulative time in each age group determines the order of finish, and I must say, we had a pretty impressive order of finish! Congratulations to Todd and Alethea for their 2nd and 3rd place finishes respectively (ask them to show you their medals!). Mark and Eric had excellent swims as well, with Eric finishing 7th overall, and Mark probably around the 11th position if not for the DQ in the breastroke. BUT, a special nod for Mark in not getting DQ'd in the 100 IM...a special feat all in itself =)...though not as fortunate in the breastroke, I wish I had a picture of the official during this particular swim...priceless!
